Hi! I’m Amelia Earhart. I was born July 24th, 1897 in
Atchison, Kansas. I grew up as a tomboy, climbing trees, and sledding
down hills. When I was in collage, my life began to follow the lead of
Frank Hawks, who inspired me to fly.

I took on many jobs including a nurse’s aid, a social worker,
and of course a pilot. I became an outspoken chameon for women’s
rights, and I hope I an example to other women to follow their dreams.
A few traits that I found necessary to accomplish what I did
were braver, trust, confidence, and courage.
Airplanes didn’t inspire me until I was in collage planning a
career in medicine. Then, there were some problems I had to
face. One being money, the other being prodigious. One word
of, advice, if you have a goal, decide whether or not the goal is worth
the risks involved, if it is, stop worrying.
