Dr. Ben Carson

Reported by T.W.

I’m Dr. Ben Carson.  I was born September 18,1951.  My mother got married at the age of 13.  She had to work 3 jobs to take care of me and my brother, Curtis.  When I was 8 I found out my father was married to another woman with 5 children.  Then my parents were divorced. I wanted to be like my mother because she knew I could become a doctor and she never gave up on me.

I’m a brain surgeon. I got picked on a lot in school because I wasn’t as smart as some of the other kids.  I made life better for two girls. One was Tiffany.  I operated on her when she was three months old. If I didn’t she would be in ALS.  By that I mean, she would have had serious learning disabilities.  The other girl is Meranda Francisco. If I did not operate on her at the age 4 she would live in pain and misery.  I also separated 4 conjoined twins.  I’m sense full because I always pray before I do any surgery.  I always know what I’m doing.  I wrote three books.  A message I would give the students of today would be if you apply yourself and show  every one your smart  you  can become a doctor like I did . So remember work hard.
