I was born February, 12,1809 in Harden County, Kentucky. I was a
son of Thomas and Nancy Lincoln. I was named after my father’s
grandfather. My father was a carpenter and farmer. Both of
my parents were members of a Baptist church which due to opposition to
slavery. When I grew up I wanted to be like my father. My
father moved from Kentucky because he didn’t like how they were
treating slaves, he moved us to North INDIANA.
I operated a store and was a postmaster, lawyer, and member of the Whig
party. Later I became the sixteenth president of the United
States. I worked with abolitionists to get rid of slavery.
I think everyone should have the right to live free. I am a hard
worker, a great leader, honest, and I never gave up running for
politics. I never gave up for president of the United sates of America,
I am good a writing speeches like the Gettysburg address and the
Emancipation Proclamation. There was still prejudice in the South and
trying to unite the country after the civil war. Always be fair in
life.
