Lawyer, Spy, and Tax Collector
The journey begins in 1635 A.D
in England. I was in England when I heard that whole bunches of people
were going to the New World. I thought I should go to the New World. So
I did.
When I was in the New World I became a tax collector. People started to refuse to pay their taxes. Soon no one was paying his or her taxes. It drove me nuts!!! I went to the Town Hall to make a law saying that you had to pay your taxes or else would go to jail. That didn’t work. I didn’t care any more because they would just go to the courthouse. Then they would be sent to jail for 15 years. After that every thing went like normal.
