Hello, I am a famous African-American. I was born on July 2, 1908 in Baltimore Maryland. My father’s name was William. I graduated from Lincoln University in 1930. Once I graduated from Lincoln University
I tried to go to Maryland law school but I couldn’t because I was black, instead I got a law degree at Howard University in 1933. In 1934 I began to work for Baltimore branch of NAACP. In 1936 I became an assistant special counsel in New York. In 1940 I won my first of my total 29 Supreme Court victories. In 1944 I successfully argued Smith v. Allwright, allowing blacks to vote. In 1951 I visited South Korea and Japan to investigate charges of racism in U.S. armed forces. In 1967 I became the first African-American elevated to Supreme Court. In 1993 I died at 84. Who am I?
