I am a fourth grader in
Maryland. I am very interested in the Titanic. In
third grade, we were reading a book called Finding the Titanic.
When I read it I wasn't that interested but when I went on vacation, I
started to like it. I began collecting just about anything
on the Titanic. For example, I've collected books, models,
shirts, earrings, software, board games, video, and even a piece from
the Titanic itself. Let me explain what I mean.
It all
started when my dad couldn't go with us to Ocean City because he had to
work on a special buidling. So I went with my brother, sister,
and mom. My aunt and grandmother also came. My aunt found a
place a couple minutes away from Ocean City and it was called
Discoveries from the Sea. This man named Dale Clifton asked me if
the necklace from the movie was real. I thought about my answer
for a couple minutes, and realized that it wasn't real. When I
told him that, he was impressed. He went into this back room and
gave me a piece of a wash bowl from the Titanic. It is one of my
most prized possessions. When I went back to the beach house, I
looked in my bag, and I realized that I brought a little blanket. So I
wrapped it in there. The next day, when I was going home, I held it
carefully, and didn't let it drop. When I got home, my dad
couldn't believe it.
The purpose of this
web page is to explain why I like the Titanic and share facts that I
have collected over the past year. We will include pictures and
information. If you have any questions, feel free to
contact my fourth grade teacher, Mr. Cole. We hope you
enjoy this information.
