What is an ESOL
Celebration? Well, ESOL is an
acronym that stands for
English as a second language.
Howard County Schools and
Bollman Bridge in particular
have a great deal  to offer
students and families who
have English as a second
language.
What does Bollman Bridge
Elementary offer to the ESOL
community?
They offer a lot. The ESOL
community can get library
cards through the school.
There is FIRN, the Foreign
Born Information and
Referral Network, that
sponsors activities. There are
translation and interpretation
services which can be very
helpful. There are English
classes for adults that are held
at the Howard County
Community College. There
are sporting activities offered
at the local Boys' and Girls'
Club.  Finally, there was LEP
(English Language Party)
Night with a celebration of
talent and diversity.  Click on
any of the above pictures to
get a better look.
