Framework of Excellence

The artifacts collected for this portfolio will be arranged so as to meet the
domains and indicators found in Howard County School's Framework of Excellence.

I will pick out specific domains and indicators that are specifically supported by my artifacts.

      Goal: Activities and assignments are planned to engage students cognitively in their attainment or achievement of objectives.

Goal:  Routines for handling materials and supplies are seamless, with students assuming some responsibility for efficient operation.

Goal:  Feedback is consistently provided in a timely manner. Students make prompt use of the feedback in their learning.

Goal:  Teacher persists in seeking highly effective approaches to differentiate instruction.  Teacher uses an extensive repertoire of strategies including reassessment of student needs and solicits additional resources as needed.

     Indicator 5C:  Communicates with families.
Goal:  Teacher creates a collaborative relationship with parents by frequently providing information on both positive and negative aspects of student progress.   Response to parent concerns is handled with great sensitivity.
