The Internet has brought a great deal of convenience into the home. A world of information is
now at our fingertips.  Research, communication, and commerce have all benefited. The world
seems a much smaller place. Yet, with all this added convenience, new dangers and concerns
have also arisen.  Predators, scam artists, false information, identity thieves, spy ware, and
viruses have all come to our doorstep.  The student of the twenty-first century needs to be
aware and vigilant in dealing with all these concerns.  The purpose of this web page is to be a
resource for parents, teachers, and students on the issue of Internet safety. I have tried to
put a number of web quests that meet the needs of various age groups. I've also tried to find
on line documents that can help one become more cognizant of the dangers and precautions one
should take.  I hope this site will be a helpful resource for those dealing with the topic of
Internet safety. Please
email me concerning any dead links. Also let me know if there are any
sites I should include.

A lot of these sites have addition resources linked to them.  As I find more information, I will add to this list.
The bottom line is that the Internet is a wonderful place, but everyone needs to use caution. Things aren't always
as they seem. People misrepresent themselves. A wise student or adult should be careful and follow certain
guidelines which are included in much of the information above. Happy and safe surfing!
